Event Recap
On September 30, the Austin and San Antonio Postal Customer Councils gathered at Reunion Ranch in Georgetown for a joint PCC Day themed "Forging Bold Horizons." More than 60 mailers, industry partners and USPS leaders attended.
Keynote speaker Steve Jarboe, USPS Director of Shipping and Commerce Strategy, reported third-quarter operating revenue of $19.9 billion, up 6.1% from last year, and noted that 67% of the network is now regional transit hub activated, with 176 Sorting and Delivery Centers open. He previewed the 2027 promotions calendar, including new tactile, sensory and specialty ink discounts, and covered election mail readiness, the temporary peak season price change running October 4 through January 17, and how USPS is using AI. A lively Q&A followed. Bill Redman and Alora Hill presented on current USPS mailing promotions, and Kirt Forsyth presented the PCC Awards to Austin and San Antonio and delivered the State of the District address. The day closed with postal trivia, door prizes and recognition.
This year's event was dedicated to the memory of Christina Moreno, who is deeply missed.
Thank you to our sponsors, including Shelton Connect, Pitney Bowes, Community Impact Printing and Mailing, Tension Envelope & Print, EasyPost and many more, and a special thanks to Paul Klein for gathering them.
